The Mark of a Champion: A Tiffany Trophy
A Tradition of Excellence
Each year, 65 trophies are made by the skilled craftspeople at our hollowware workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island. From football and baseball to basketball, tennis and beyond, every Tiffany trophy requires countless hours of labor and a relentless dedication to craftsmanship.
Aces
Tiffany silversmiths have crafted the US Open® trophies for the United States Tennis Association® since 1987. Both the men’s and women’s singles championship trophies stand 18 inches tall. The most recent championship was won by our House ambassador, Emma Raducanu.
Holding Court
The redesigned Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy is awarded to the winning team of the NBA Finals. It weighs approximately 29 pounds and is crafted in sterling silver, 24k gold vermeil and wood, and the entire trophy takes approximately seven months to complete.
Touchdown
The iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy®, presented annually to the NFL® Super Bowl® championship team, has been created by Tiffany since the first Super Bowl® in 1967. Oscar Riedener, a former Tiffany & Co. Vice President, sketched the basic design on a napkin during a 1966 meeting with then NFL® Commissioner Pete Rozelle and the rest was history.
Home Run
Designed by Tiffany & Co., the championship trophy for Major League Baseball® weighs 20 pounds, stands 24 inches tall and features 30 gold-plated flags—one for each major league team.
Only the Best
Every trophy crafted in the Tiffany hollowware shop is stamped with a “T & CO MAKERS” hallmark that features a hammer in the shape of a T, a nod to Tiffany’s heritage of handcrafted metalwork. Our Tiffany 1837® Makers jewelry collection pays homage to this with the same distinguished makers stamp.
